The Lorain County Retired Teachers Association (LORCORTA)
LORCORTA conducts three luncheon meetings each year, although attendance is always optional. We publish a regular newsletter with detailed information about the luncheons plus other news of interest to retired teachers.
Each year LORCORTA also awards the Orrin R. Findley/William & Betty Lute Scholarships to high school seniors and the Mary Elizabeth Keller Scholarships to college juniors or seniors majoring in education.
Annual LORCORTA membership dues are $10.00 per year. A Life Membership is available based on your age at the time you pay (through age 61: $100, age 61-70: $80, age 71-80: $60, over age 81: $25). Send your membership check to Treasurer Jim McQuown, 10863 Killaloe Drive, Dublin, OH 43017. If you wish to join the Ohio Retired Teachers Association (ORTA) as well, include their $30 yearly dues to your check total and add a note to Jim telling him. Make the check payable to LORCORTA..
