The Mary Elizabeth Keller Scholarship Fund
Mary Elizabeth Keller, a local retired teacher, funded a scholarship which has been named in her honor and is administered by LORCORTA. These scholarships are available to any resident of Lorain County who is pursuing a career in education with preference given to those in their junior or senior year of college.

Congratulations to the 2026 recipients (left to right): Meghan Glahn - a 2023 graduate of Marion L. Steele High School who will be a senior at Bowling Green State University with a major in Special Education Intervention, Alyssa Caldera - a 2023 graduate of Clearview High School who will be a senior at Kent State University majoring in Early Childhood Education, and Ellamarie Green - a 2023 graduate of Avon Lake High School who will be a senior at Purdue University majoring in Special Education.
